Entity Custom Fields

Would you like the ability to use custom fields when creating or editing discussions, docs, articles, questions, ideas or issues within Plato?

The custom fields module would allow Plato administrators to add additional unique custom fields to any type of entity within Plato. These fields would be editable when adding or editing an entity and the values for these fields displayed alongside the entity to end users.

When editing a custom field as an administrator you would also have the ability to control which roles within Plato can edit and see the custom field.

Custom fields could be used to capture the product, edition, version or service an issue, idea or discussion relates to or maybe the product or version a doc or articles applies to.

Custom field types would include...

  • Text
  • Text Area
  • Number
  • Select / Drop Down List
  • Multiple Select / Drop Down List
  • Date / Time
  • Check box list
  • Radio button list

Use Case

  • Allows Plato administrators to display any custom data alongside discussions, docs, articles, questions, ideas & issues.
